Video from Bakhmut

Street-punk music video with my footage from the besieged town in the East

When I was on the Bakhmut front in the winter of 2022-2023 one evening algorithms on YouTube suggested for me to listen to an British guy who plays solo folk-punk on a 12-string electric Gretsch. His channel had about a dozen views and no subscribers, so I subscribed. He thanked me for subscribing, and I told him that a better way to thank me would be to write a song for the Ukrainian army soldiers, and he did. It's called "Curb stomp the fascist dogs". But that's not where the story ends. I created a music video for this song using footage I had taken in Bakhmut. I'll use this video (and maybe even the song) in the documentary I'm making right now about the people who fought in Bakhmut. The town itself is now under occupation and almost completely desolated.
